First Glance Hitting Power Ranks
**Disclaimer** The following ranks do not reflect on my own thoughts and opinions, these are pure scientific statistics put together to project pre-season ranks. If you do not agree with them do not blame me, blame numbers. This is just the intial installment of hitting power ranks, I plan on putting together 2 more to make one grand hitting power rankings chart.
Alrighty then.....
I took each teams projected lineups and ranked them based on a number of different statistical analysis. Then took the top 5 replacements for each team to include the "overall" team rank not just starters but weighted each accordingly. With the lineups, if there were two players close and only one could start I picked the one who was drafted higher. Here are the results
#1: Julian Javelina
#2: Gaylord Dingers
#3: Springfield Flying Squirrels
#4: North Texas Rangers
#5: Charlotte Orios
#6: Dallas Redbirds
#7: Rochester Red Sox
#8: Olivet Killer Eagles
#9: South Texas Heat
#10: Michigan Miracles
#11: Hackensack Bulls
#12: Arizona Desert Swarm
#13: Oviedo Knights
#14: San Antonio Fire Ants
#15: Mid-Michigan Tigers
#16: Atlantic Surge

Winter Meetings / 2011 Draft
I am going to utilize this blog to record transactions and trades as well as draft analysis during and after the draft. ALSO, as the draft continues I am going to go back and revisit the deals made during the winter meetings and see how they actually turned out, player wise
For example
I traded Edwin Jackson for 5.1, so after the 5.1 selection was made I will re-evaluate to see who the winner really was based on the player taken with that selection.
Nothing new to share for now, but wanted to utilize it this year like I planned on late last season but turned out going back 4 months in a season was a LOT of work. To do it as current events will be much easier
